Icicle is a community built on respect, authenticity, and connection. These guidelines help ensure everyone has a positive experience. By using Icicle, you agree to follow these standards. Violations may result in warnings, suspensions, or permanent bans.

Be Respectful

Treat everyone with dignity and respect, even if you're not interested in them:

Be kind: A simple "no thanks" is better than ignoring someone or being rude
Respect boundaries: If someone isn't interested, accept it gracefully and move on
Embrace diversity: Our community includes people of different backgrounds, body types, races, and ages (18+)
Communicate openly: Be honest about your intentions and what you're looking for

Be Authentic

Honesty builds trust and leads to better connections:

Use recent photos: Your photos should accurately represent how you look now
Be truthful: Don't misrepresent your age, identity, or intentions
One account per person: Creating multiple accounts is not allowed
Real people only: Fake profiles, bots, and catfishing are strictly prohibited

Be Safe

Your safety and privacy matter:

Protect personal info: Be cautious about sharing your address, workplace, or financial information
Meet safely: When meeting in person, choose public places and tell a friend where you'll be
Report concerns: If something feels wrong, trust your instincts and use our reporting tools
Block freely: You can block anyone at any time without explanation

Prohibited Behavior

The following behaviors will result in immediate action, including permanent bans:

Harassment & Abuse

Sending threatening, abusive, or hateful messages
Continuing to contact someone after they've asked you to stop
Bullying, intimidation, or targeting someone based on their identity
Stalking or sharing someone's private information without consent

Explicit Content Violations

Sending unsolicited explicit images or videos
Recording or screenshotting video chats without consent
Sharing or threatening to share intimate content of others

Illegal Activity

Soliciting or offering illegal services
Drug dealing or promotion of illegal substances
Scams, fraud, or financial exploitation
Any activity involving minors (users must be 18+)

Spam & Commercial Activity

Advertising products or services
Promoting other websites, apps, or social media
Sending repetitive or automated messages
Recruiting for any organization or cause

Zero Tolerance Policies

These violations result in immediate permanent bans with no appeal:

Underage users: All users must be 18 or older. If you are under 18, you will be permanently locked out.
Violence or threats: Any threats of violence, self-harm, or harm to others
Hate speech: Content that promotes hatred or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or other protected characteristics
Exploitation: Any attempt to exploit, coerce, or traffic individuals

Video Chat Rules

Video chat is a core feature of Icicle. Keep it respectful:

Consent matters: Both parties must consent to video chat and any content shared
No recording: Recording video chats without explicit consent is strictly prohibited
Appropriate setting: Be mindful of your surroundings and what's visible on camera
Quick exit: If you're uncomfortable, you can end the call instantly at any time
Report issues: Use the report button if someone behaves inappropriately during a video call

Reporting & Enforcement

Help us keep the community safe:

Report violations: Use the report button on profiles, in chats, or during video calls
Include details: The more information you provide, the better we can investigate
We take action: Every report is reviewed by our moderation team
Your privacy: Reports are confidential - the other person won't know who reported them

Consequences

Depending on the severity of the violation, consequences may include:

Warning: For minor first-time offenses
Temporary suspension: Account access restricted for a period of time
Permanent ban: For serious or repeated violations
Legal action: For illegal activities, we may report to law enforcement

Appeals

If you believe your account was suspended or banned in error:

Contact our support team with your account email
Explain why you believe the decision was incorrect
Be patient - appeals are reviewed carefully and may take time

Note: Zero tolerance violations (underage, violence, exploitation) cannot be appealed.

Updates to Guidelines

We may update these guidelines from time to time to address new situations or improve clarity. Significant changes will be announced through the app. Continued use of Icicle after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised guidelines.
